Discovery Trekking is a manufacturer of technical outerwear and next-to-skin custom clothing. We do have a fabric store, but as our fabrics come & go very quickly, it’s difficult to keep a website updated. We will showcase a few styles until gone…so check back often. 

 

Most of the fabrics we use are made by Polartec® USA.  Polartec® was originally known as Malden Mills.

We specialize in technical soft shells, such as Polartec® Powershield,  Neoshell®, and Windbloc®. These fabrics are water repellent and have a breathable, windproof barrier.  They all make wonderful Jackets, Vests, or Pants.

 Polartec ® Neoshell®is the hottest new softshell .  It combines the best of waterproof and breathable qualities for a superior outerwear fabric. Popular Sciencetested Neoshell against Gortex, and Neoshell won hands down.

We also sell Polartec® fleece. 100-weight is very light, 300 is very dense/heavy, 200 is in-between and most common.  Windpro® is a tightly woven fleece that provides water and wind repellence.  Amazing for jackets and hats, but also in high demand for diaper covers!

Polartec® Powerdry® is a next-to-skin moisture-wicking fabric. Great for shirts, underwear, sleepwear, and all base layers.

If you are making small items like hats or gaiters, call us. Sometimes we have small cut yardages of our best fabrics, that we can "bag" and sell at a great price.

Classic

River Rock (green/blue) Camo blanket fleece, 200-weight, 100" wide,  $18/yard

Classic with Nomex Fire-Retardant

200-weight, 60" wide. Black only. Nomex is a fire-retardant that is required for many occupations for additional safety.  Big advantage around a campfire too!  $25/yd

Windbloc

Mid-weight chamois-finish windbloc, with powerdry mesh bonded inside. Lovely for jackets or vests. Wind and water repellent. 60" wide, Air Force Blue only. See picture of jacket made with this lovely fabric.
